I had a fabulous weekend with an early arrival of Travis on Saturday. We expressed how much we missed each other and then walked to Santullos for lunch. I had the most delicious slice of goat cheese and red pepper pizza of my life...who knew it could be so tasty!

We also spit a slice of BBQ Chicken and Green pepper that had a sad face...and way too much BBQ sauce.

Then we walked around Wicker Park for a while, just strolling down Milwaukee. We found a Empire Strikes back shirt on the $9.99 table at Urban Outfitters and I also got a very cute little owl ornament. I named him Owlie and carried him through the store petting him like a crazy. Travis said I could not have mice if I had an owl, so I said he doesn't eat mice, see how tiny his beak is?! I will feed him peanuts and M&Ms and bits of apple.

We walked all the way to Jewel, which is the one errand we needed to run for mimosa fixins for Sunday brunch. Then we went home and organized his iPod and made the most delicious beef stew ever and got really drunk and silly. I was extra chatty and knew it and was trying so hard to control it...which made me laugh a lot later. And I kept saying how amazingly good the beef stew was. Poor Travis lol.

Sunday we woke up late bc my alarm clock that automatically resets itself missed the memo that daylight savings was moved last year. Boo. It was ok though; I'm sure we needed the sleep. We headed over to Annie's and met Oliver who is very very VERY cute and had brunch and mimosas and sat on the couch tipsy and talking for hours.

Then we went to Marshall's and TJ Maxx where I wandered off and took pictures muhahaha.

Annie took us home and then we went out on a hot date to dinner and wanted to go to this one place but couldn't because it was surrounded by construction! Woe! So we walked around a bit and I remembered another place we had previously eyed, so we went there and it was delicious. It's an English pub call The Elephant and so of course we got some cider to drink and I partook on the fish and chips. When we were done I realized I hadn't taken any pictures. Aww. Shame lol.
Then we went in Border for 10 minutes...because they were closing. Boo! Then we went home and watched Transformers on the couch with mugs of espresso drinks and kitties all over us. Transformers was far more awesome than I had expected and silly and funny at parts. It was fun. I thought it odd/interesting that Megatron was so organic. I enjoyed the other Hasbro toys snuck in there...like a My Little Pony and a Furby. Good ol Hasbro.
Getting up this morning was the most difficult thing to do in my life lol. It was dark, cold, and I was warm and cozy and comfortable and laying on Travis. Why leave that to go sit in my cold office? Stupid bills I must pay. At least I have tasty beef stew for lunch!
Today I woke up sick. Balls! Sore throat, POUNDING headache, and slight nasal congestion. I made it to work and went to Walgreens for supplies and, after a cup of Theraflu, felt 87% better! I love Theraflu.
Today I had Free Lunch because I dropped my business card in a bowl and won! It was an odd sampling of people: people from work, girl from the office who works for another company we share the space with, coworker's friends, Jason from school, and Jared from old job. It was fun, and I hadn't seen Jared in almost 2 years! Eek! And now he's moving to New York and getting married! Eek!
Speaking of weddings, I went to one last weekend and it was a blast – SO much more fun than I had imagined!! And I guess Travis and I aren't used to us both drinking at a place we need to drive from...so halfway through we realized this and so I stopped drinking because I was the most sober. I took like 200 zany pictures of course where are here: http://picasaweb.google.com/BRCecil/NickAndSarahSWedding There are also pictures dispersed thought out the StL, Chicago, and Indy "Adventure" albums here: http://picasaweb.google.com/BRCecil
So after that I realized we're done with wedding until next October...and then this morning I find out my dear friend since high school is engaged AND pregnant! We have been out of touch for 2 years. Hmmm...that's another 2 years I haven't seen a friend. Sad... So...I am still in the shock of that news.
Right now I am enjoying pb&h(oney) sandwiches and watching disc 1 of Roots because I have NEVER seen it!!! Never!!! What is wrong with me?!? I saw Alex Haley's Queen. Oh, and I was all ready to watch Roots but Netflix only JUST made it available! Seriously, Netflix, that is shameful. They didn't have Roots OR Showboat...sadness on Netflix. And really, why is EVERYONE in Roots? It's nuts...in a good way.
I am sick! Boo sick!
In other good news, Travis starts his new job Monday and is VERY excited about it. I am glad he is excited.
Oh, and also last weekend my sister and I tap danced in the living room. I taught her Take Me Out to the Ballgame and we performed for Mom...it was fantastic!
We all know what happened earlier this week...
Thank god for eBay...
(cue angelic voices signing the Halleluiah chorus) The S400...not the newest model, but definitely fancier than my S200.
AND...in addition to the TWO I already have...
With SIX batteries and FOUR memory cards...I am UNSTOPPABLE!
Travis came to visit this weekend, so I HAD to try out my new toy. It's like my camera...but from the future! I'm still trying to get all the settings the way I want them. As you can see some pictures were unnecessarily blurry...there was plenty of light!
Keety!
Cherry Citrus Mountain Dew and XXX Vitamin Water
The Blue Line was being worked on this weekend to "eliminate slow zones" and so we took the "shuttle" aka accordion bus! It was truly an adventure. We sat in the middle, which is the best place to get the full "I'm on an accordion bus" effect.
Sears is selling fashions for bucket people too.
Nordstrom Rack
Pigeon of Death returns...with a Nestle Crunch bar!
And now some things that make me swoon:
Wedding cake with BRIDGES holding figures for the entire giant wedding party
Filene's Basement
It started out as a half-joke because of an "incident" that happened a couple years ago there, buuuuut we decided it was an excellent idea to go to ESPN Zone for chicken nachos. I...played a lot while waiting for the food because they were showing the PGA Championship on the big screen....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz lol.
mmmm
hit the spot
We had the hardest time trying to get home...really just trying to cross the river because...they were shooting a movie! There were helicopters too but I was concentrating more on seeing them than catching them on camera...shaaaaaame, Bethany. I don't know what movie...Angelina and Brad flew into town Tuesday with 2 of the kiddos because she's filming here, so I guess it could be for that. Unless they are still filming Batman. And then again it could be something completely different.
I said, "We need a picture of us!"
And then I said, "Um...let's try that again...in the shade."
Lazy Sunday...I am tired from doing what Travis does all day every day...and so he laughs at me.
And that concludes another lazy Sunday as well as another blog in pictures. I'd like to thank Picassa and Google for making it as simple as pie to integrate pictures into my writings and thus making the world a better place.
And now...a banana slicer!
Last night I hung out with Annie and had breakfast for dinner. It was delicious as always and we chatted a lot as always and then she turned on the TV to check “the game” and was spitting out baseball terms and player’s names and I almost passed out in shock lol.
Tuesday I also had breakfast for dinner, but at the Golden Apple before dance. It was indeed lovely and delicious. Dance as rather fun. We learned a lame dance to New York, New York and then a MUCH better and very Bethany dance, if you will, to April Showers. I Love it! Ballet...eh. In Jazz we did the Kick-Ball-Change dance to Canned Heat, which is amazing. I always disliked that dance but not so much anymore, which is great because Amy loves it so much and wanted to do it.
Today I want breakfast for dinner again, especially because I just realized I forgot to eat breakfast. Perhaps I was still full from last night.
It's being fixed Saturday. It's working right now...knock on wood. But I always cringe when people say "knock on wood" because the first time i ever heard that expression was on an episode of Tazmania (man, whatever happened to that show? It was awesome.), and every time someone said it something bad happened.
I bought a package of Fig Newtons today. Why? Because I saw figs in the grocery store when I was talking to my sister on the phone, and the conversation turned to the delicious that is the Fig Newton...and had I been at Jewel (and not Dominicks) I could have gotten the snack-size package, but, no, I had to get the full-size. I was sad to see the many flavors of years past were no longer present. Apple Newtons were my favorite thing ever one summer...and an excellent mid-morning snack. I was tempted by the whole grain Fig Newtons, but remembered the light colored bready cake stuff is my favorite part lol. Then there were Fat Free Fig Newtons, and I checked Nutrition facts and then did not understand why they existed as 2 Fig Newtons only contain 2g of fat. Hmm.
